Four from Milwaukee arrested in I-65 stop

Four Wisconsin residents were arrested Tuesday night by Kentucky State Police on Interstate 65 after a traffic stop for speeding turned into an arrest of the driver for trafficking in the potent drug fentanyl. Willie Sanders IV, 27, Milwaukee, driver of a silver 2020 Mitsubishi SUV, was traveling at 83 mph headed north near the 93-mile marker at 10:46 p.m., according to police. Three other people from Milwaukee also were in the vehicle – Curtis Haynes, 27; Jamel James, 26 and Tierra Mathews, 30 – when KSP conducted a traffic stop. A trooper approached the passenger side of the vehicle and detected “the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle,” according to an arrest citation.

Two Tennessee women were arrested Tuesday night and charged with assaulting two men, including the husband of one of the suspects. Kyra D. Brady, 19, of Lafayette, Tennessee, and Brianna F. Hatfield, 18, of Gallatin, Tennessee, were charged in what Radcliff police described as a “pre-planned attack” on Hatfield’s husband inside a residence at Masden Mobile Home Park. He was in his home with his uncle, according to an arrest citation. Brady is charged with second-degree assault, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted, According to Brady’s citation, Brianna Hatfield jumped on her husband’s back and began to wrestle with him “in an effort to prevent him from thwarting the attack.”
