MARYLAND A surge in new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations is causing concern for health officials in Harford County. I believe our fourth wave, our fourth spike, is being driven by younger people who were not yet vaccinated, engaging in behaviors that spread the virus, Harford County Health Officer Dr. David Bishai said. Seniors over 65 are not participating in the fourth wave, and we attribute that to vaccinations.
Young people between ages 15 and 60 have driven Harford County’s test positivity to the highest in the state, Harford County Health Officer David Bishai said, despite middle-of-the-pack testing in the county.
