Are we not alone? Surely not. The possibility that intelligent life exists outside of planet earth is a reality. And, the Galileo Project, in honour of the Italian genius Galileo Galilei “father of modern astronomy”, who was unjustly sentenced by the perfidious Roman Inquisition, is led by Israeli professor Abraham “Avi” Loeb. He was born in the moshav Beit Hanan, growing up in the midst of an agricultural world, and is now the Frank B. Baird Jr. professor of science at the prestigious Harvard University. He is Jewish, he maintains the tradition, but he is not a practising Jew.

A prominent, but controversial, Israeli scientist at Harvard University has launched a project that will take a fresh approach to the search for extraterrestrials, hoping to find some signs of their technology or civilizations.
Avi Loeb’s Galileo Project will systematically search for physical artifacts produced by “extraterrestrial technological civilizations.” Previous programs, such as the SETI Institute, scoured the cosmos in search of electromagnetic signals, not objects.

Summary
In the introduction of his sixth book,
Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth, Avi Loeb, chair of the Harvard Department of Astronomy, acknowledges the elephant in the room: In the spirit of transparency, know that some scientists find my hypothesis unfashionable, outside of mainstream science, even dangerously ill conceived. But the most egregious error we can make, I believe, is not to take this possibility seriously enough. The provocative possibility he refers to is that an interstellar object known as Oumuamua (Hawaiian for scout ), which passed through the Solar System in 2017, is an artificial object created by intelligent extraterrestrials.

Harvard professor Avi Loeb says we were visited by extra-terrestrial alien technology back in 2017.
In 2017, a 1,300-foot-long, cigar-shaped asteroid first appeared in our solar system. Except … according to Dr. Loeb … it wasn’t an asteroid. It was an abandoned alien spaceship.
To be clear, here this guy isn’t some conspiracy theory crackpot. Instead, he’s the chairman of Harvard’s Department of Astronomy. There’s a little bit of credibility here, isn’t there?

We don’t really know, but Harvard Department of Astronomy Chair Avi Loeb says there’s “only one conceivable explanation”: An object which visited our solar system in 2017 indeed was of extraterrestrial origin.
The cigar-shaped “Oumuamua” was a piece of alien junk, Loeb claims in his upcoming book “Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth.”
Maxim, “Oumuamua” is a Hawaiian word meaning “scout,” which coincides with its discovery at Maui’s Mt. Haleakala telescope. Loeb says Oumuamua’s shape and speed are what give it away as being an extraterrestrial artifact.
“‘Oumuamua’s geometry [was] more extreme by at least a few times in aspect ratio or its width to its height than the most extreme asteroids or comets that we have ever seen,” Loeb says in his book. In addition, the object was up to “ten times more reflective than typical solar system asteroids or comets,” meaning it could have been c
