It’s been one year since our last eARTh Day Art Contest was announced, and with the pandemic still ongoing, we could all use a creative outlet. We find that the best place from which to “draw” inspiration is our planet. It’s why once again WPLG Local 10 is inviting South Florida art teachers and students, from grades Pre-K to 12, to participate in its fourth annual eARTh Day Art Contest.
The contest begins Feb. 8.
In the past three years, the popular, environmentally centered contest has recognized three schools Air Base K-8 in Homestead, Lawton Chiles Middle School in Hialeah and Coral Gables Preparatory Academy for their winning entries and awarded a total of $13,500 to the schools’ art programs.
