New Hampshire Woman Killed After Car Rear-Ends Bike

Mar 16, 2021 7:26 AM Daytona Beach, FL - A New Hampshire woman is dead after police say a rear-end collision knocked her off the back of the motorcycle she was riding on. Officers say the crash occurred on International Speedway Boulevard (ISB) near Hagen Terrace just before 5:30 Sunday morning (March 14th). According to a report from police, a 2013 Harley motorcycle and a 2000 Toyota Rav4 were both in the outside right lanes of eastbound ISB when the Toyota hit the back of the Harley, wedging the rear of the bike underneath the front of the vehicle. As a result, the male rider, an 18-year-old male from Durand, Illinois, and the woman, who is from Seabrook, New Hampshire, fell off the bike. Police say the woman died after she hit the road. The male rider was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Ormond Beach man dies after crashing into pond on News-Journal property

A 68-year-old man who hit a berm with his car and landed in a pond on The Daytona Beach News-Journal s property last week has died, Daytona Beach police said. Police and firefighters responded to 901 Sixth St. at 3:19 p.m. on Thursday. Two  Daytona Beach officers jumped into the pond to pull the man out, said police spokesman Messod Bendayan. The victim is Ricky Allen Calfee, who contracted with The News-Journal to deliver the company s weekly PennySaver advertising product. Capt. Bryon Williams and Det. Collin Howell went into the pond and retrieved Calfee from his car. Paramedics transported him to Halifax Health Medical Center as a trauma alert. The victim, an Ormond Beach resident, died at the hospital Saturday, Bendayan said.

South Carolina man killed in Port Orange crash is 4th Bike Week death

According to Port Orange police, the crash occurred at 7:22 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Nova Road and Sleepy Hollow Drive. A passenger riding with Ferguson, identified as Nadine Smith of Ohio, was also taken to Halifax Health Medical Center and remains in stable condition, police said. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, police said. Port Orange police are asking anyone with information on the crash to call Port Orange Traffic Homicide Investigator Michael Garay at 386-506-5838. Ferguson is the second motorcycle fatality that Port Orange worked during Bike Week. On Wednesday, a 33-year-old Port Orange motorcyclist died when his motorcycle crashed at Country Lane and Taylor Road, police said.
