At approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, Kevin Marquette Ingram, 37, of Roanoke Rapids, surrendered to Agent B.J. Murphy at the Halifax County Sheriffâs Office.
Agent A.D. Cash had obtained warrants for the arrest of Ingram for sell of cocaine, deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell/deliver cocaine and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, according to a press release from Capt. Anzell M. Harris.
The incident occurred at Ingramâs residence in the 1000 block of Rhea Smith Road in Roanoke Rapids. Agents had received a citizen complaint of Ingram selling from this residence and Agent Cash followed up.
Wednesday
Shortly after 7 p.m., agents of the Halifax County Sheriffâs Office were in the area of Wendover Lane in Roanoke Rapids following up on drug complaints. Agents had received complaints of possible drug activity, several cars going to a residence staying a short time then leaving throughout the night.
Agent B.J. Murphy stopped a vehicle leaving the Wendover Lane residence on West Tenth Street near Colonial Drive for a motor vehicle violation.
During the search, smoking pipes and cocaine were seized.
Murphy cited the driver, Wendy Wells, 54, of Roanoke Rapids, with a North Carolina Uniform Citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. Murphy arrested and charged Melissa Christine Trezza, 37, for felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
