HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. – Deputies are searching for a second-degree murder suspect believed to be armed and dangerous, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeffrey Franklin Davis, 48, has a felony arrested warrant of second-degree murder issued against him for his alleged involvement in a shooting on Harmony Road Friday night, authorities said.
On Friday at 10:52 p.m., Halifax County deputies and Virginia State Police responded to a call at a residence on Harmony Road about a possible shooting.

(Halifax County, VA) – The Halifax County Sherriff’s office has issued an arrest warrant after a shooting on Friday night. 48-year-old Jeffrey Franklin Davis of Bold Springs Road is wanted on a felony charge of second-degree murder. Davis is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Authorities responded to a call for shots fired in the Harmony Road area just before 11pm where they found a 38-year-old victim lying in a driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. Crews from Cluster Springs Fire and Rescue and the Halifax County Rescue Squad personnel provided aide to the victim, but to no avail as the still unidentified victim succumbed to his injuries. The victim was transported to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke as part of the investigation.
