Ontario is investing another $1.6 million to increase prevention and containment efforts in long-term care centres in Haliburton.
“We continue to support (long-term care homes) for their PPE or whatever prevention and containment measures they need,” MPP for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock Laurie Scott tells the MyHaliburtonNow.com newsroom.
Extendicare Haliburton is getting $80,000, Highland Wood is receiving $87,100, and Hyland Crest is being provided with $197,600. This is in addition to the over $1 million in funding that was provided to the three long-term care centres since March 2020.
On top of the three area LTCs, another 12 were given funding throughout Scott’s riding.
