Northumberland County made the announcement on Friday night.
The outbreak was first declared on Jan. 16 with one staff member testing positive, and was extended after two more staff members tested positive.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit let the Golden Plough Lodge the outbreak was officially over to end the week, and without any residents contracting the virus.
Administrator of the Golden Plough Lodge, Bill Detlor, says this is great news, especially following the first doses of vaccines being administered into the arms of residents earlier this month.
Detlor adds that the threat of COVID-19 has not diminished, meaning staff will continue to wear all necessary PPE, continue to be tested weekly and they, along with residents, will be screened twice a day.

The provincial government is investing over $865,000 into area long-term care homes.
Member of provincial parliament for Northumberland – Peterborough South, David Piccini, made the announcement this afternoon (Feb 3).
This money will be used to increase preventiona nd containment efforts when it comes to COVID-19, and here’s the breakdown of which homes will receive funding:
· Burnbrae Gardens Long Term Care Residence is receiving an additional $35,600, bringing the total prevention and containment support to $359,800
· Extendicare Cobourg is receiving an additional $70,800, bringing the total prevention and containment support to $326,400
· Extendicare Port Hope is receiving an additional $183,600, bringing the total prevention and containment support to $521,800

A third staff member at the Golden Plough Lodge has tested positive for COVID-19.
This outbreak was first declared January 16 with one case in the long-term care home, a second staff member contracted the Coronavirus on Friday, with the third staff member testing positive yesterday.
Active medical officer of health for the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Dr. Ian Gemmill, says all local long-term care homes are doing all they can to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the home.
He adds that vaccines arriving locally and getting into the arms of the most vulnerable starting this week will help the situation.
