Covid-19 death toll at Warrington Hospital exceeds 400

WARRINGTON Hospital has hit another sad milestone in its fight against coronavirus. The Lovely Lane site has seen its Covid-19 death toll surpass 400 following 13 patient deaths over the weekend. As a result, Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that the number of patients that have died since the start of the pandemic after testing positive for the virus now stands at 411. As of this afternoon, Monday, Warrington Hospital is caring for 223 patients that have contracted coronavirus, with 22 in intensive care. Over the weekend, a further 31 patients were discharged after recovering from Covid-19, bringing the discharge total to date to 1,452.
