No New COVID-19 Cases Reported In Caldwell Friday, No Deaths Reported In Hickory Metro: Monday Morning Update

The most recent update from Catawba County Public Health, which was issued Friday (March 12) showed 18 new cases of COVID-19, increasing the total to 17,383. The coronavirus-related death total remained at 288 and there were 24 people hospitalized. Catawba County health officials will now be updating their COVID-19 dashboard Monday through Friday, they will no longer be issuing updates over the weekend.
The last update from Caldwell County showed zero new cases of the virus on Friday. It’s the first time since June that no new cases were reported on a given day in Caldwell County. There were 15 people hospitalized with COVID-19. Three new cases were reported Friday in Alexander County, raising the total to 4,002, and ten people were hospitalized.
