Hiab secures 100 unit deal with MV Commercial
A multi-million-pound deal has been struck between Hiab UK and Ireland Ltd and MV Commercial Ltd for 100 light, medium and heavy-duty truck-mounted cranes.
MV Commercial has been a long-standing partner of Hiab and the latest deal is one of several multi-million-pound agreements in recent years which has cemented the strategic partnership between the two businesses.
Worth more than £5 million, the units will be delivered to the specialist crane lorry provider throughout 2021-2022 to maintain and expand its high specification stock for sale or hire.

The cranes are equipped with Hiab’s telematics system HiConnect, which enables users to track crane performance, helping them to reduce downtime and costs.

MV Commercial has committed to buying 100 new specialist cranes from Hiab UK and Ireland. The deal will see the Airdrie-based business add light, medium and heavy-duty loader cranes to its stock of specialist cranes for sale or hire as they arrive throughout 2021 and 2022.
Demand for high-specification truck-mounted cranes is increasing, which is why the £5m deal will help MV Commercial support businesses looking to invest in new machinery as they recover from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit.
Already one of the largest suppliers of crane trucks in the UK, MV Commercial expects the deal to cement their standing in the market with all 100 loader cranes equipped with Hiab’s HiConnect telematics system to improve productivity.

The UK Commercial Vehicle Show will be back at the NEC in 2021, but will now run from 31 August to 2 September. This change in date is a response to the government’s roadmap to easing Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
