IMMY Labs said patients can start booking appointments through its website starting Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for its Mega Vaccination Clinic on February 22nd.
The State Department of Health said it expects to give 10,000 people their first dose of the vaccine at the Hilton Embassy Suites in Norman.
Appointment slots are set for 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. These are available for phase one patients like healthcare workers, first responders, and people over 65. It’s also open to the newest wave of people eligible for shots, including teachers, school staff and adults with comorbidities.
Part of the clinic will be reserved for school staff and people over 65-years-old, who are having some trouble scheduling an appointment.
The Rockford Register Star’s Excalibur Award is given to an individual who through excellence in community service has made a difference in the Rock River Valley. The Excelsior Award goes to an organization for doing the same. Gary Anderson is an Excalibur finalist.
Name: Gary W. Anderson
Occupation: Architect, owner of Studio GWA
About the nominee: Architect and historic preservationist Gary Anderson has played a key role in the resurgence of downtown Rockford, culminating with the redevelopment of the dilapidated former Amerock factory into the four-star Hilton Embassy Suites and Lawrence J. Morrissey Conference Center. If not for Anderson and the Friends of Ziock a group of preservationists and residents he helped to form it might have been demolished years ago.
