Hearings delayed in child pornography case Hillsdale Daily News Preliminary hearings scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in the case of an Allen man charged with six counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials has been adjourned two weeks.  Joshua Luke Curey, 39, appeared in court as scheduled and sat next to his attorney, Kimm Burger, but Hillsdale County Prosecuting Attorney Neal Brady requested a two-week adjournment as his office was having difficulty finding a key witness in the case needed to establish probable cause that a crime was committed and that Curey is the one who committed the crime.  “If we can’t find her, it’s going to be a problem,” Brady said. 

City hall vandal set for exam, considering plea deal

Hillsdale Daily News HILLSDALE A Hillsdale woman, who went on a rampage throwing rocks at police vehicles and Hillsdale City Hall in November 2020, is tentatively scheduled for a preliminary examination hearing March 10 where it is likely she will take advantage of a plea bargain offered. Naomi Ashley Bahe, 28, appeared in the 2B District Court Wednesday morning for a probable cause conference where her attorney, Keith Stickley, met with Hillsdale County Prosecutor Neal Brady to discuss the case and resolutions by plea bargain.  Bahe has been held at the Hillsdale County Jail since her arrest Nov. 29, on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, malicious destruction of police property and a probation violation from a previous arrest.
