Double homicide investigation underway after bodies are found outside Riverview business

The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office is conducting a double homicide investigation after two bodies were found outside a Riverview business.
Just after midnight, deputies were called to the 100 block of Pelican Creek Circle, where they discovered the two bodies, which had sustained upper body trauma according to authorities.
A private citizen came across the bodies and made the call to the sheriff s office. It is unknown how long the bodies have been there.

RIVERVIEW, Fla. - A Riverview industrial area known as the Oak Creek Commerce Park is the sight of a double homicide investigation. I was tempted not to walk today because you never know what s going to be out here, said Troy Smith, a nearby employee.
Investigators say a 911 call came in shortly after midnight. The bodies of two people were found outside the businesses, both with upper body trauma. Who they are, why they were there and what happened are all still unclear.

PLANT CITY, Fla. A Tampa Bay area elementary school teacher has now been arrested after investigators say she left her young son unattended in a bathtub last fall, and the child died.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office announced Thursday that deputies had arrested 23-year-old Yesica Boxtha of Plant City.
Boxtha, deputies say, fell asleep while her son was alone in the tub for an unknown amount of time on Sept. 5, 2020, at a home in Plant City. When she awoke and returned to the bathroom, deputies say she found the child unresponsive.
The child was taken to an area hospital but did not survive. The medical examiner s office determined drowning was the cause of death.

The governor was there and so was the attorney general, the mayor of Tampa and Hillsborough Countyâs sheriff.
By 7 a.m. on Tuesday, law enforcement officers, reporters and local officials were donning face masks, getting their temperatures checked and packing the pews of Idlewild Baptist Church. The crowd would swell to about 3,000 in a cavernous sanctuary that holds 5,000.
Deputies investigating gunshots in Brandon find victim fatally injured
Just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, a witness called 911 after hearing gunshots. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim.

The Hillsborough County Sheriffâs Office is conducting a death investigation at the Cypress Trace Apartments, 812 Providence Trace Circle in Brandon.
Just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday a witness called 911 after hearing gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a victim suffering from upper body trauma.
The victim was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital and died there.
