Double homicide investigation underway after bodies are found outside Riverview business Double homicide investigation underway after bodies are found outside Riverview business and last updated 2021-01-21 05:21:53-05 The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office is conducting a double homicide investigation after two bodies were found outside a Riverview business. Just after midnight, deputies were called to the 100 block of Pelican Creek Circle, where they discovered the two bodies, which had sustained upper body trauma according to authorities. A private citizen came across the bodies and made the call to the sheriff s office. It is unknown how long the bodies have been there.

The bodies of two people were found outside the businesses, both with upper body trauma. Who they are, why they were there and what happened are all still unclear.

A Tampa Bay area elementary school teacher has now been arrested after investigators say she left her young son unattended in a bathtub last fall, and the child died. The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office announced Thursday that deputies had arrested 23-year-old Yesica Boxtha of Plant City. Boxtha, deputies say, fell asleep while her son was alone in the tub for an unknown amount of time on Sept. 5, 2020, at a home in Plant City. When she awoke and returned to the bathroom, deputies say she found the child unresponsive. The child was taken to an area hospital but did not survive. The medical examiner s office determined drowning was the cause of death.

Just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday a witness called 911 after hearing gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a victim suffering from upper body trauma. The victim was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital and died there. Anyone with information was urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
