Investigators said the man forced his way into a home in the 1900 block of Sparkman Road and shot himself hours later. During a news conference on Monday, a spokeswoman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff said deputies were called to the area around 7:55 a.m. to investigate a person who was acting erratically. Before deputies arrived, the unnamed man forced his way into the home. A person inside was able to escape without injuries.
