TAMPA, Fla. - For more than 40 years, Royce Wilson has played a key role in investigating some of the most horrific crimes. I process it in my mind that the body is a piece of evidence and I know that sounds very callous and it s not. I think I m a very compassionate person, but you have to develop that callous or I think you would go stark raving made if you didn t know how to develop that callous to it, said Wilson.
Some of those investigations involved notorious serial killers.

A Florida teacher who secretly filmed dozens of students changing clothes in his fashion design classroom was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
Mark William Ackett, who will also remain a registered sex offender for the rest of his life, was sentenced on Monday in a Tampa courtroom.
“There’s so much suffering in this case by so many different people due to the actions of the defendant. There’s very little I can say today to make any of that better,” Judge Laura Ward said, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Officials in Florida say a high school teacher has been arrested on charges he had sex with a student for more than a year.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office says 46-year-old Alberto Rivera Claudio is facing 12 counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
The charges stem from accusations dating back to November 2019 and lasting until last December.
The sheriff s office says the female student was under 18 years old and Rivera was at one point her Spanish teacher.
Rivera Claudio remained in jail on Saturday on a $180,000.00 bond.

On Friday night, at the Florida State Fairgrounds, deputies set up a booth to take current photos of kids, get their fingerprints, and help parents register.
