TAMPA, Fla. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office wants to help parents sign up for a new online program they say will save critical time if your child goes missing.
On Friday night, at the Florida State Fairgrounds, deputies set up a booth to take current photos of kids, get their fingerprints, and help parents register.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister will announce the results of a week-long human trafficking operation. The sheriff s office said the operation was conducted during the days leading up to WrestleMania.
For the second time this year, the Hillsborough County Sheriff s Office conducted an anti-human trafficking operation ahead of a large-scale event. In February, the sheriff s office arrested more than 70 people as part of Operation Takedown during Super Bowl week.

A Lexington man was arrested in Tampa Bay, Florida on Monday after allegedly holding a woman and a two-year-old baby hostage at a hotel during an eight-hour standoff with police.
Victor Hernandez, 53, of Lexington is being held without bail at the Hillsborough County Jail in Florida on two counts of felony armed false imprisonment.

According to information provided by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, at 11:14 p.m. on Sunday, 911 communications received a phone call in reference to a subject who was barricaded with two family members inside a room at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel in Tampa Bay.
