Summer Tomahawk Food Truck kick-off held Friday
Nearly 200 adults and children were at Friday’s Summer Kick-Off Celebration at Hillsboro Elementary School for the 2021 season of the Hillsboro City Schools Child Nutrition Program. The Hillsboro Liberty Lions Club presented a check for $100 to assist with the additional Tomahawk Food Truck stops planned for the summer. Early Release Times Set At Hillsboro ISD The last day of school at Hillsboro Independent School District is Wednesday, May 26, and an early release schedule has been set. Release times Wednesday will be as follows: Franklin Elementary School - 12:30 p.m.; Hillsboro Elementary School - 12:35 p.m.; Hillsboro Intermediate School - 12:40 p.m.; Hillsboro Junior High School - 12:40 p.m.; Hillsboro High School - 12:40 p.m. Graduation for Hillsboro s Class of 2021 will be held at Eagle Field beginning at 8 p.m. Friday.

Children living in the Hillsboro City School District who will be 5 years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2021, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
Children who will be 6 years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2021, must be enrolled in school under Ohio law.
Hillsboro’s kindergarten is an all-day program.
The registration process begins with entering all information on Final Forms prior to June 10, 2021. Go to the school district’s website www.hcs-k12.org and then click Final Forms to get started. Items needed to be uploaded to the Final Forms platform include: certified copy of child’s birth certificate, child’s Social Security card, proof of residency (current utility bill with name and address), parent’s driver’s license, and custody papers, if applicable.
