Chase ends in Pike County | WCHI Easy 1350

May 13, 2021 Hillsboro Police have a Middletown man in custody following a chase on Tuesday. Over the weekend, 29-year-old Michael Gammoh is alleged to have used his vehicle to crash into a Hillsboro Sunoco station on East Main Street. He then stole a lottery machine from inside the business. Tuesday afternoon, a chase that was started by Adams County authorities, ended when Gammoh crashed his car into a ditch on Fairview/Lapparell Road in Pike County. Gammoh was taken into custody without incident. Gammoh, who has a criminal record in Hillsboro Municipal Court dating back to 1999, was arraigned in that same court yesterday.

Unattended cooking causes fire at OR hotel, man suffers minor burns     HILLSBORO, Oregon (KPTV) Hillsboro Fire & Rescue crews responded to a cooking fire at a hotel early Tuesday morning. Just after 1:30 a.m., crews were called out to a sprinkler activation at the Larkspur Landing Suite Hotel, located at 3133 Northeast Shute Road. Crews arrived to the scene and found water flowing from a sprinkler in a single unit and smoke in the corridor. For safety, hotel guests were asked to shelter in place. Hillsboro Fire said crews entered the affected unit and found a man attempting to extinguish a fire in the kitchen area and water flowing from the sprinkler.

Two Charged for Pouring Dish Soap in Highland Courthouse Fountain | The 90s to Now

Apr 15, 2021 Two people have been charged as the result of a prank in Hillsboro from September of 2020. According to a press release, Hillsboro Police on Wednesday, April 14th charged Tristan M. Nicely, 23, of Hillsboro, and Makayla A. Jordan, 21, of Lynchburg, with one count each of Criminal Mischief. The charge stems from the September 26th , 2020 incident where dish soap was poured into the decorative fountain at the Highland County Courthouse, causing the fountain to overflow with bubbles. An investigation led officers to Jordan and Nicely, who admitted to pouring the soap into the fountain.
