Bicyclist dies after being hit by trailer in Bad Axe

Mark Lloyd Prescott, 52, of Bad Axe died after being hit by a utility trailer while riding his bicycle near Bad Axe June 23.
According to the Michigan State Police Caro Post, troopers responded to a traffic crash around 11:20 a.m. that occurred at the intersection of North Van Dyke Road and Barrie Road in Colfax Township.
Prescott was traveling eastbound on the eastbound shoulder of the road when he struck the utility trailer being hauled by a vehicle, according to an MSP report. Upon impact, the bicyclist became lodged underneath the trailer for some distance before becoming dislodged, the report reads.
