New Bedford Police Arrest Two With Nearly 90 Grams of Fentanyl
NEW BEDFORD New Bedford Police arrested two people and seized nearly 90 grams of fentanyl in a recent arrest.
On April 2, New Bedford Police Narcotics and Gang Detectives seized approximately 88.5 grams of fentanyl, a small amount of cocaine, and $2,578 in cash from a Nissan Altima in the parking lot area of 85 Coggeshall Street.
Two people were arrested as a result: Daejhon Gomes, 23, and Hector Nieves, 27, both of New Bedford. Gomes, the target of the vehicle search, was charged with trafficking fentanyl. Nieves was charged with drug possession. Police say Nieves was arrested last July for trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, with both cases currently pending in district court.

9:43 a.m. Patrick Jutras, 31, of Water Street in Greenfield, was arrested for five charges of possession of ammunition without an FID card, unlicensed firearm sale, two charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug, possession of a Class E drug, four charges of possession of a firearm without an FID card and two charges of improper storage of a firearm.

7:13 a.m. Hector Nieves, 40, of Brunswick Street in Springfield, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug (subsequent offense), conspiracy to violate drug law and possession of a Class B drug.

GREENFIELD - Police arrested a Springfield man and a Greenfield woman on drug charges following a narcotics raid Saturday on an apartment on Armory Street, police said.
Greenfield police and the Franklin County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 4 Armory St., Apt. 7. The district court warrant was as a result of an investigation into drug activity there.
Police arrested resident Ashlie Wright, 34, and Hector Nieves, 40, of Springfield. Each is charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.
