A suspicious vehicle that was sighted and reported to the Henderson County, North Carolina Sheriff’s department lead to the arrest of a man breaching a protective order. As reported in the
Hendersonville Lightning, Radames Caquias Hodges was found in close proximity to a building occupied by the party that filed the order.
When Hodges was arrested, police found a loaded semiautomatic shotgun, a machete and methamphetamine in his vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. Hodges also was in fact in violation of a domestic violence protective order, which included a prohibition on the possession of a firearm.

Shortly before noon, a caller told the sheriff s office that the driver of the vehicle had a domestic violence protective order against him taken out by a party in a nearby building. When he responded to the call, a deputy found that the driver, Radames Caquias Hodges, had in his vehicle a loaded AR semiautomatic shotgun, a machete and methamphetamine, the sheriff s office said. Hodges also was in fact in violation of a domestic violence protective order and in violation by being in possession of a firearm. One of the suites in the building near where Hodges was arrested was an occupied Childcare/Pre-Kindergarten facility.

Hendersonville man, woman charged with meth trafficking offenses after vehicle stop by Sheriff s Office

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, members of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit conducted a saturated patrol of a known-high crime area in the Clear Creek community, the Sheriff s Office said in a news release.
Officers saw a vehicle on the roadway with a fictitious license plate. When they stopped the vehicle, officers saw drug paraphernalia and narcotics inside, the release states.
A search of the vehicle revealed numerous individual bags of methamphetamine, digital scales and $5,822 in cash, according to the release.
