If you are clawing the walls and ready to break free from the day to day routine, make plans for at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 8 at the Texan. Card 53 Comedy will have a night of improv for $20 admission.
According to Card 53, their âunique brand of âmakem-up improv comedyâ consists of several scenes, made up on the spot based on audience suggestions.â
The show is considered âclean-ishâ while striving to provide the most entertaining show possible. Card 53 said they are making every effort to do their part in bringing live entertainment back to Texas.
âDue to the unpredictable nature of the show, we risk embarrassing our mothers, wives and places of employment all for the sake of providing a night of entertainment like no other in Texas.â

Keep Athens Beautiful will present the 2021 Home and Garden Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at the Henderson County Fair Complex, 5356 Hwy. 31. Admission is free, donations will be accepted for parking.
âKeep Athens Beautiful is excited once again to host the Home and Garden show at Fair Park,â said Carol Morton, Keep Athens Beautiful Executive Director.
There will be demonstrations by the Henderson County Master Gardeners and seminars on various topics including meal prepping, vegetable gardening and by R&R Restoration and Renovation.
Vendors including Athens Sales & Tractors will be present, there will also be mulch on site. There will be a booth on solar panel energy, boutiques, decor and more.
