The Hendricks County Sheriff s Office is asking for the public s help in finding three suspects linked to the 2020 deadly shooting of a 17-year-old.
The shooting happened Dec. 15 in the 10200 block of Haag Road. Officers found two people in a parked vehicle. Freddie Hegwood II was wounded and taken to the hospital in serious condition. He later died.

SOUTHPORT, Ind. (WISH) Nineteen-year-old Samaria Blackwell was laid to rest on Monday.
She was one of the eight people killed in the FedEx shooting a week and a half ago.

“Today is a tough day. Today is a sad day, but it is a day that is not without hope,” Tim Jensen, her former basketball coach, said.
There have been many reports of Blackwell’s hopes of becoming a police officer. Six different police departments from across the state were at the service and took part in the large police procession that led family and friends to the grave site. Those departments include IMPD, Avon, Beech Grove, Portland, Southport and the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department.

UPDATE: The Silver Alert for Mr. Eastham was canceled Friday evening. Authorities said Mr. Eastham was safe.
CLAYTON, Ind. - A statewide Silver Alert has been declared for an 85-year-old man missing from western Hendricks County.
The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department is looking for Prentiss Eastham, whom they describe as a white male, 5 9 tall, weighs 212 pounds, and has gray hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a ball cap, a black Purdue jacket and driving a Silver 2015 Honda Civic with a Indiana license plate of 936LLD.
Eastham was last seen in Clayton, Indiana, 25 miles west of Indianapolis, on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at 4:45 p.m.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a 85-year-old Clayton man missing since Thursday, Indiana State Police said.
Prentiss Eastham is 5 feet 9, weighs 212 pounds, has gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a ball cap, black Purdue jacket and driving a silver 2015 Honda Civic with Indiana license plate 936LLD.
Prentiss is believed to be in extreme danger and may need medical assistance.

He was last seen around 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 21. He’s believed to be in extreme danger and may need medical assistance.
Police say he was driving a silver 2015 Honda Civic with Indiana plate number 936LLD.
