Read so far Mon, 07/26/2021 - 16:59 Posted in: On 07-26-21 just before 10:30 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the BioSpine Institute, located at 7101 Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill regarding shots fired from within the building. Operators in the Emergency Communications Center began receiving 9-1-1 calls reporting shots fired, a man in the building with a gun, people running out of the building, people screaming, etc. Deputies along with Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene. Within approximately three minutes, deputies began arriving on scene. The first deputies to arrive on scene quickly formed an entry team and entered the building in search of the active shooter. Deputies conducted a systematic and methodical search of the premises. In doing so, they checked those persons still inside, both to determine injuries and/or to rule out additional suspects.

Hernando County firefighters say they responded to a call on the 34000 block of Woodland Circle in Dade City along with firefighters from Pasco and Sumter counties around 1:55 a. m. Friday morning. Brooksville man loses dog and home in fire

Credit: Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services Author: Claire Farrow Updated: 9:00 PM EDT April 18, 2021 A man lost his dog and home during a fire Sunday morning in Brooksville, Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services said.  It happened around 8:44 a.m. when a call came in reporting a mobile home fire in the 16000 block of Pointview Road.  The man living inside the home was able to get out before fire rescue arrived, HCFES said. The fire was put out just after 9 a.m. The man told firefighters he heard a loud pop and went to investigate the sound and found the home on fire.
