The VTOL Show and Safety Conference confirms its premiere from 16 to 18 November, 2021 in Cologne, Germany as a physical event, strongly supported by the rotorcraft industry. Now, a unique digital event platform will allow additional attendees to participate and interact with exhibitors, even if travel restrictions are extended.
EUROPEAN ROTORS has already signed up some 60 companies and organisations as exhibitors. Market leaders like Airbus Helicopters, Bell, Leonardo Helicopters, Safran Helicopter Engines, Boeing Global Services, H+S Aviation Limited, Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp., RUAG, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik GmbH, AEROMETALS and others will be showcasing in Cologne. The organisers of EUROPEAN ROTORS are in talks with many more companies, institutions and associations.
AN AWARD winning café at Caernarfon Airport, dedicated to supporting the Wales Air Ambulance, has reopened. Café HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) was forced to close last December following the announcement from Welsh Government that all non-essentials businesses had to shut their doors. It will now be open for takeaways with a limited menu from Wednesdays to Sundays between 10am and 3pm. Sue Barnes, Chief Executive of the Wales Air Ambulance, said: “We are delighted we are able to provide our customers with a takeaway option. “The staff are looking forward to reopening the much-loved cafe and it will be lovely to welcome people back.”

Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, has announced the delivery of a Bell 505 helicopter equipped with the Med-Pac Inc. LLC Emergency Medical Services Lite Interior to BAR Aviation.
This marks the first Bell 505 in Uganda and the first Bell 505 designed to complete medical evacuation (medevac) missions in Africa.
“We are elated that BAR Aviation has chosen the Bell 505 as its Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) platform and will operate the first medevac Bell 505 in Africa,” said Lynette Loosen, regional sales manager, Africa. “By leveraging the aircraft’s unique design, competitive cost and flexible kit installation, the platform enables our customers to provide safe and reliable medical services to its patients.”
