City of Santa Maria hosting free youth pickleball clinics KSBY and last updated 2021-02-22 15:06:06-05 The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is offering free youth pickleball clinics on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Kids 7 to 13 years old will play at the new pickleball courts located at the Hagerman Sports Complex off Skyway Drive in Santa Maria. The Santa Maria Pickleball Club is helping organize these free clinics. Organizers say pickleball is an activity for people of all ages that combines the structure of tennis with the scoring rules of table tennis. The program will follow CDC guidelines. Participants will need to wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.
