Truck driver will be charged in hit-and-run collision with school bus in Groveland

A young girl escaped injury Tuesday morning after her father pulled her out of the way of a landscaping truck which barreled past the school bus she was about to board, police said.
The truck driver, a 27-year-old Haverhill man, allegedly failed to stop behind the school bus, driving on the sidewalk to the right of the bus and sideswiping the rear of the bus in the process, Groveland Police Chief Jeffrey T. Gillen said in a statement. The truck driver then allegedly drove off, fleeing the scene of the crash. Groveland police responded at 7:54 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police intend to seek a criminal summons for the man, Gillen said.

Police responded just after 4:30 p.m. to a report of an altercation and found a 34-year old Haverhill man suffering from blunt force trauma, officials said. He later died at a Boston hospital.

One man is dead and another is facing a murder charge after a fight broke out Thursday in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
Haverhill police responded to 127 Winter St. just after 4:30 p.m. for a reported altercation. When they arrived, officers found 34-year-old John Rosado of Haverhill down on the sidewalk suffering from significant head wounds and bleeding profusely. Rosado was taken by ambulance to a local hospital before being transferred by medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, prosecutors said.
