Thai Nguyen (VNA) - The
Central Agencies Bloc and the northern province of Thai Nguyen on February 28 co-organised a ceremony in the locality to
kick off the Youth Month 2021, and launch a tree-planting festival.
The event was in response to the 90th founding anniversary
of the
A wide range of programmes and activities were held in the framework of the
event, including presenting gifts to 15 former volunteer youths, bikes to 10 students
with special circumstances in Dai Tu district and bookcases to local schools,
and supporting the building of house for one poor household, among others.

Gia Lai (VNA) - The Central Highlands province of Gia Lai has been
growing new forests and protecting existing ones in recent years to expand
forest cover and improve people’s livelihoods.
The province, which has the largest forest cover in the
Central Highlands region,
planted nearly 25,300ha in 2017-20, 6.3 times its target.
In Mang Yang District’s Hra Commune, the Hra Protective Forest management board
allocated more than 6,300ha of forests last year to individuals, households and
communities to exploit while also protecting them.

A group of young people from Ho Chi Minh City had transported agricultural products from the northern province of Hai Duong to the southern metropolis before selling them at zero dong on Tuesday in the hope of easing the burden on farmers in the virus-hit locality.
The group, in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union members, transported a total of more than ten metric tons of cabbages, with a budget of over VND40 million (US$1,700).

Young CPV member’s initiatives help ethnic minority community

As a vivacious young person, Cao Thi Ngoc Thanh – Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) secretary of Khanh Trung commune in south central Vietnamese Khanh Hoa province’s Khanh Vinh district, has spared no efforts in promoting local youth-union movements and contribute to local socio-economic development.
Since becoming CPV secretary of the commune in December, Thanh has worked with local youth unions and relevant agencies to visit every household and guide people on how to prevent the pandemic.
