Pune, May 14 : The Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech International Ltd will soon start manufacturing Covid-19 vaccines in Pune, through subsidiary Biovet Pvt Ltd, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced on Friday. It will take around three months for the company to start production of vaccines from this facility, Pawar told media persons.
The state would also request the BBIL to give priority to supply vaccines to Maharashtra after fulfilling its commitments to the Centre, he added.

With India taking 85 days to administer 10 crore (100 mn) Covid vaccine doses, a rough calculation shows that all eligible Indians can expect to be fully inoculated in over three years as per the current pace. New Delhi, Apr 11 (IANS): With India taking 85 days to administer 10 crore (100 mn) Covid vaccine doses, a rough calculation shows that all eligible Indians can expect to be fully inoculated in over three years as per the current pace.
Cumulatively, 10,15,95,147 vaccine doses have been administered through 15,17,963 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 a.m. on Sunday, the Health and Family Welfare Ministry said.
