Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of Tony Eastlake in Islington on Saturday, 29 May have charged a man.
James Peppiatt, 21 (30.04.00) of Elmore Street, N1 was charged with the murder on Wednesday, 2 June.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 3 June.
Police were called at 17:27hrs on Saturday, 29 May to reports of an injured man on Essex Road, N1.
Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and provided first aid. Despite their best efforts, Tony Eastlake, aged 55, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.

Three men have been charged after a police officer was injured during a traffic stop between West Hampstead and Kilburn.
Police on a routine patrol stopped a blue BMW at the junction of Netherwood Street and Lowfield Road at around 10.25pm on May 6.
Jordell Menzies, 24 and of Brunswick Close in Pinner, was charged with dangerous driving, assault of an emergency services worker, driving with no insurance and obstruction.
Navone McKenzie, 33, of Clement Close, Brondesbury Park, was charged with breaching the terms of a criminal behaviour order.
