NGR, county talk about solar

The Highland County Board of Commissioners met in executive session Wednesday with representatives of National Grid Renewables (NGR) on matters described as “economic development.”
NGR Market Lead and Senior Developer Darek Hasek and developer Sarah Eberly met with the commissioners to discuss progress being made on the Dodson Creek Solar Farm Project, which is one of 10 solar electric generating facilities either in the planning or construction phase in and around Highland County.

INCIDENTS
A Wilmington resident advised they were assaulted at a residence in the 1800 block of Hess Road.
A disturbance was reported in the 3300 block of S.R. 134. Leilani Nii, 44, of Mt. Orab, was arrested for violating a protection order.
June 1
INCIDENT
A property owner in the 6800 block of Beechwood Road reported two males were trespassing. This incident remains under investigation.
June 2
INCIDENT
A resident in the 4300 block of U.S. Route 50 advised a male was refusing to leave the property. After an investigation, Donald Routt, 40, of Hillsboro, was arrested for criminal trespassing.

May 21
INCIDENTS
An employee of the Lynchburg-Clay Middle School reported damage to a staff member’s vehicle from a rock thrown by a student.
A resident of North High Street in Mowrystown reported an assault. Rose Alexander, 27, of Mowrystown, was arrested and charged with assault.
Deputies responded to a call of a male walking on S.R. 124 in Union Township that appeared to be intoxicated. After an investigation, Ronald Murphy, 3,3 of Hillsboro, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
A female called from a business in Allensburg advising she had been assaulted. Upon investigation, Andrew Marshall, 37, of Hillsboro, was arrested and charged with assault.
