(Shutterstock) HOMEWOOD, IL Homewood Police say a 48-year-old man was found dead in an office building on the 900 block of 175th Street on Saturday. The discovery came after police were called to tend to a gunshot victim. The man was identified on Tuesday as Robert James Jr., who was most recently a resident of Country Club Hills, according to police. The Cook County Medical Examiner s office ruled his death a homicide. The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit, along with help from the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force said the attack wasn t a coincidence, adding that James was targeted.
