Detailed description is I am dedicated to providing quality childcare where parents can feel comfortable leaving their children while they work.
I will provide a safe and attractive environment where children can feel comfortable playing, resting, eating and learning.
Children will spend time outdoors when weather permits, as well as indoors.
All children will be guided in developing appropriate social communication and home living skills..

For the pre-school age child, basic concepts (shapes, colors, letters, numbers, etc) will be introduced and children will be able to learn through using manipulative materials, dramatics play, music, art and movement.
An ample supply of toys, books, materials and equipment are available for children to use..

Children will participate in daily learning activities that will help prepare them for successful futures.
It is my goal to have children “kindergarten ready”.
A kindergarten teacher at Birch Lake Elementary School says this means:.
· Able to write their first name.
· Able to count to 20+.
· Able to identify most capital and lowercase letters.
· Able to identify and produce rhymes.
· Basic concepts of print: reading left to right, front and back of book etc..

Play is also an awesome opportunity for children to work out problems that they are dealing with and explore different emotions as well as how to handle those emotions.
