A groundswell of support was started in building trauma-informed communities.
2015 focused heavily on awareness and understanding of the urgency and the need for continued work.
In 2017 we’re back and continue our collaboration with health, education, law, and behavioral health.
The 2017 summit will focus on the next steps and defining what we can do practically to create trauma-informed communities.
This summit will focus on goals, practical strategies and public policy.
With these tools and ideas participants will be able to carry practical strategies back to their communities.
All participants are encouraged to network with fellow participants, develop relationships and explore partnership ideas.

The aim is for attendees to develop practical strategies for their schools, organizations, communities, or agencies on how to assist clients/patients understand the intergenerational effects of trauma on the life span and how to assist the client/patient with stopping the intergenerational transmission of ACEs.
