Trail: The trail is 7 miles long starting from St.
Gregory's Catholic Church parking lot, heading out Baranof St., going up Gavan Hill, around the Harbor Mt.
Ridge Trail and ending at the Harbor Mt.
picnic area..

Trail Description: The first quarter mile of the run starts at sea level.
The course then enters the broad Gavan Hill Trail.
0.81 miles to the Cross Trail, turns right for 0.28 miles, then left up the narrow trail to the Gavan Hill ridge with an elevation gain of over 2,000 feet.
The trail continues the next 4 miles to climb over the hills and valleys of the Gavan Hill mountain ridge, opening into spectacular alpine vistas traversing rock slides and stunted growth forests.
The last half mile of the course continues as a gradual decent down Harbor Mt.
Road..

THIS IS A STRENUOUS RUN.
Sitka Mt.
Rescue team volunteers will provide coverage and 2 water stations.
It is advised that you may wish to carry your own personal water in addition to the water stations.
Runners must be a minimum of 15 years old to enter.
Official timing will stop 2.5 hours from the starting time.
If you register and find you are not able to run, please call and cancel.
A potluck picnic will be held at the picnic shelter located near the finish line!.
