His son, Tim Baer, attended the University of Missouri-Rolla, now known as the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), and received a degree in Civil Engineering.
Tim came to work for his father and after obtaining his Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Licenses and 12 years of experience, the reigns of the company were ready to be turned over.
Tim took over the business in 2004 as the new owner and with the new ownership came the new name of Baer Engineering, LLC..
