I believe, In order to establish this, children should be offered a variety of learning opportunities through hands on experience and exploration.
We do a lot of play based learning! During the Pre-K years, children have a natural curiosity.
I would love to build on this! Through observing, questioning, experiencing, and experimenting in their natural environment, they will experience raid growth and development.

Each week we will be focusing on a theme.
With that theme we will do science experiments, incorporate math, learn about the history behind it and how it affects us.
We will read about it, sing about it and do art work around it.
We will review 1-2 letters per week.
In the 4-5 year old Pre-K class, we will work on sight words, blending words, recognizing sounds within a word, rhyming, syllables, and word recognition.
In taking this approach I hope this helps to develop the whole child instead of just focusing on getting your child to "read" by the end of the year.
This should set your child up with skills and excitement for a lifetime of learning.

A maximum of 8 children will be enrolled in each class.
I will try to balance the class with at least 3 children of each gender.
I hope by keeping class sizes small, your children's ability to learn and grow will increase.
By having fewer kids in each class this will ensure more one on one teacher interaction.
