We service Bicycles, refurbish and sell donated bicycles, and work with students to teach them bicycle repair and maintenance.
We, Urban Expression (formerly Project Haven), realize we need to diversify the way we raise funds for the works in the community.
We also recognize the need for student workforce development and creating a space in our community for those that are engaging biking and skating to gather and be encouraged.
It also creates a point in our community for the Kingdom of God to engage these sports communities.
Recently I, Scott Roth, have been put in charge of the YMCA Skatepark and Project Haven’s own Dave Kratz in Quakertown has been working in the area of extreme sport ministry for many years at the Quakertown skatepark.
We have seen a tremendous area of ministry around these sports..
What Project Haven is looking to do is take abandoned or donated bicycles and strip them down for .
usable parts.
Then build bikes back up out of those parts.
We would accept bikes from numerous locations and use the parts and build refurbished used bikes.
These bikes would then be sold through our retail part of the project.
Volunteers would work through the process.
What we will need is people to help in collecting and stripping bicycles.
Also those that are skilled at building bicycles could assist in that process as well.
We are currently in the beginning stages of the project.
We are looking to get volunteers onboard with these projects and assist students in building up their skills and talents in having hope for their future.The end result is a vibrant active store that is working at building up people to not only build bikes and skateboards but also to get outside and use them.
We will be hosting events and activities as we go along the way.
