Bertin Parish School in Haiti.
Our Lady of the Lake's Building Hope Together for St.
Bertin School campaign is a fundraising effort benefiting the St.
Bertin School in Petit Bourg de Port Margot, Haiti.
Our Lady of the Lake has had a twinning relationship with St.
Bertin for more than 30 years.
Our Lady of the Lake supports not only the operation of St.
Bertin church, but also the school that is run by St.
Bertin.
Thanks to the generosity of church members at Our Lady of the Lake, more than 600 students are able to attend St.
Bertin and receive the priceless gift of a Catholic Education..

The purpose of the Building Hope campaign is to replace a classroom building at St.
Bertin which was irreparably damaged by the 2010 earthquake, leaving many of the poor children of St.
Bertin school without a suitable place for their education.
This new building will be dedicated to our beloved Fr.
William S.
Bevington, who was instrumental in fostering our parish's twining relationship with St.
Bertin..

Thanks to the generous support we have received thus far from the parishioners at Our Lady of the Lake we have achieved our first goal (the school's operating budget) and we're more than halfway to our goal to rebuild the damaged school building.
