Detailed description is The Cameron University Concert Choir is an auditioned chorus open to all Cameron University students.
Performance ensemble open to all University students (music majors and non-music majors) who wish to sing choral music (standard voice categories of soprano, alto, tenor or bass).
One hour credit.
May be repeated for credit or taken for “0” credit.
This class will include study in vocal technique and performance of sacred and secular music, as well as performing in selected community venues as an outreach for Cameron University and the Department of Music..
Participating in the Concert Choir offers an opportunity to study and perform a variety of choral music of many styles.
Involvement in Concert Choir will reinforce individual musicianship through, healthy singing technique, expressive singing, improve sight reading skills, and encourage critical thinking through reflection-in-practice.
Group musicianship skills include the development of discriminative listening skills with regard to ensemble singing, balance, blend, timbre, diction, pitch, rhythm, and harmony (aural skill development).
Often, the choir is invited to sing and perform at University events, and will sing at both Christmas and Spring concert events..
