Detailed description is a continuum of free summer science and nature enrichment, internships, and college prep and assistance programs for CPS 7th - 12th graders Science First is a free 4-week summer science enrichment program for Chicago Public School students entering 8th - 10th grade who have an interest in nature and science.

College First is a paid summer internship program for motivated CPS students entering their junior and senior years.
Interns spend half of the week working with their mentors at the Garden and the other half in a for-credit college level environmental science class.
College First also meets one Saturday per month during the school year to visit colleges, attend financial aid workshops, and get other help navigating the college admissions process..
