Detailed description is Square One is a non-profit seeking to empower local economic development by creating lasting business ventures for communities in the developing world.
Over the past three years, a group of students has traveled to Hope Academy, located in rural Uganda, with hopes of having an impact on the students and the local community.
We've successfully implemented two sustainable business ventures that are currently fully functional and are financially supporting the school and its teachers..

During the 2013-14 school year, Square One will expand its impact by beginning the discovery phase of our project in a new location in Nairobi, Kenya.
We will also be traveling back to Hope Academy to re-evaluate the long term sustainability of the ventures we have already begun to ensure they are still as impactful as we expect them to be.
