DaVinci Academy was the brainchild of a coalition of business, science, education, and community leaders early in 2003.
The concept of creating a high school in downtown Ogden that provided the knowledge and skills students needed in the 21st century was compelling for many.
After months of work, DaVinci Academy was chartered by the Utah State Board of Education and opened its doors in August 2004 with the mission of integrating science and the arts after the example of the original Renaissance man, Leonardo da Vinci..
