I make custom handmade instruments.
I combine modern machine technologies with time honored techniques to create high quality, wonderful sounding instruments within a reasonable cost range.

My specialty is handmade 'mountain style' banjos -open back banjos for laying clawhammer or other 'old time' banjo styles.
These banjos possess that authentic mountain sound.
They are made of local hardwoods with carefully crafted Osage Orange (we call it hedge apple) tone rings.
I also make bluegrass style banjos with a resonator available with either wood tone rings or Gibson-style cast rings.
