Detailed description is A E.E.B Dep Altir Webber de Mello está localizada no bairro Bom Jesus em Curitibanos SC.É uma escola querida e atuante na comunidade e está aqui para divulgar seus projetos e eventos com os alunos.

A EEB Deputado Altir Webber de Mello, está localizada na rua Carlos Goetten, nº 584, no bairro Bom Jesus, no município de Curitibanos, planalto catarinense, no centro do estado de Santa Catarina.
A instituição escolar foi fundada em 07 de agosto 1967 como Escola Reunida, contava com duas salas de aula construída pelo Estado em terras doadas pela Prefeitura Municipal.
A escritura pública de doação do município de Curitibanos e o Governo do Estado de Santa Catarina – Secretaria da Educação e Cultura foi concretizada em 10 de agosto de 1977, a área doada possuia 1.900 metros quadrados, ficando em condições legais para construção do estabelecimento de ensino pertencente à rede estadual de Santa Catarina.
Recebeu o nome do fundador Altir Webber de Mello, deputado estadual, nascido em Curitibanos no dia 7 de julho de 1915..
Hoje a Unidade Escolar conta com doze salas de aula, uma sala informatizada, uma cozinha industrial, uma biblioteca, um refeitório, uma secretaria, uma sala de professores, uma sala de direção, uma sala dos assistentes técnicos pedagógicos, uma sala de Educação Física, três banheiros femininos e três banheiros masculinos.
O quadro de funcionários é formado por uma diretora, uma assessora de direção, uma assistente técnico-pedagógico, uma assistente de educação, trinta e um professores e três serventes..
A Escola conta atualmente com 652 alunos, distribuídos entre o Ensino Fundamental de 1º a 5º ano e de 6ª a 8ª série, sendo 369 alunos de 1º à 5º ano, 121 alunos de 6º ano, 162 alunos de 7ª e 8ª série do Ensino Fundamental.
Conta também com 120 alunos matriculados no Projeto Mais Educação no contra-turno..
