Detailed description is A primeira escola de Choro do Brasil, fundada em Brasília, no dia 29 de abril de 1998.

Em 1998, Reco do Bandolim realizou o sonho de inaugurar a Escola Brasileira de Choro Raphael Rabello, em homenagem ao grande violonista carioca precocemente falecido.
É a primeira do gênero do país e iniciou suas atividades atendendo a 90 alunos (com mais de 200 na fila).
Hoje já tem 841.
Para coroar a iniciativa, o Arquiteto Oscar Niemeyer assinou, em 2004, o projeto da sede definitiva da Escola e do Clube do Choro de Brasília, no Setor de Divulgação Cultural, com o nome de Espaço Cultural do Choro.
O projeto foi concluído pelo Governo do Distrito Federal e inaugurado em novembro de 2011 com o nome de Espaço Cultural do Choro.
