Our beautiful Romanesque Revival building is a recognized Canadian Heritage building.
It was constructed in 1888, by Thomas Fuller, to serve as a Post Office & Customs house for "Montague Bridge".

This remained our post office until 1954, when the growth of the town made the construction of a new facility necessary.
It was at this time the Junior Board of Trade was formed, in Montague, to establish PEI's first museum..
