Generations Inn is a lakefront restaurant and bed & breakfast located on Hayshore on the Mississippi Lake in Carleton Place, Ontario.
It is set on 6 grassy acres on the lakeside known as Hayshore.
It's a quick 30 minute drive from Ottawa.
There are several dining areas, the outdoor screened patio is a great place to have a romantic dinner, or a dinner with friends and family.
The inside dining room is perfect for cooler temperatures and small private parties.
We have an upstairs private room that can be used for private dining or an all day corporate retreat.
The grounds and facilities are set up beautifully for large parties and weddings.
The food is first class but if you're looking to be super casual you can drive your boat to the dock and come in for a cold beer and one of our signature burgers.

Generations Inn is in a 101 year old farmhouse with a very interesting history.
The Hay family has owned this property since the early 1900's and Aaron Hay is the owner/operator of this fine establishment today.
This old remodeled farmhouse is also a bed and breakfast with 3 very comfortable en suites upstairs.
There are also a few cottages for rent on the property making it an ideal location for a wedding, family reunion or corporate function..

Another interesting point is that Bill Hay, Aaron's father, who also grew up in this old farmhouse is an avid wine collector.
